BRAID Fellow Dr Anna-Maria Sichani has launched a new course Responsible AI in Cultural Heritage, developed through her fellowship with RESHAPED at the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with The National Archives, UK.
Responsible AI in Cultural Heritage is aimed at cultural heritage professionals and humanities researchers who use cultural heritage data and collections in their research or teaching and who want to learn how emerging technologies, such as machine learning and AI, can be applied responsibly and effectively in their work.
Speaking about the course, Dr Sichani said:
This course aims to offer, for the first time, a tailored and sector-specific training resource on responsible AI, one that combines technical, critical, legal, and operational insights.
What makes it unique is that it was designed in close consultation with the cultural heritage and humanities research communities. It is a course for the community, by the community, created to address the specific gaps and needs of the sector.
The Responsible AI in Cultural Heritage course is openly accessible through the RESHAPED platform here.
